What is Key Holing on a cymbal you may ask. As you use your cymbals, with no insulator
the cymbal will get damaged by key-holing - the friction relatively soft brass against the relatively hard steel of
the cymbal post wares a "notch" in the cymbal. This is more than just ugly; the cymbal will settle into that notch and will
no longer spin, causing it to be struck again and again in the exact same place, reducing the life-span of the cymbal.
